Shared Parenting and Child Outcomes: A Review of the Evidence
Abstract
A systematic review of 60 studies examining outcomes for children in shared parenting arrangements compared to primary-residence arrangements. Finds that children in shared parenting arrangements generally show better outcomes on measures of wellbeing, academic achievement, and mental health, with the quality of the co-parenting relationship as the key moderating variable.
